Job description
Primary Job Function: Operates as first point of contact for department employees. Assist with planning, organizing and leading the Department’s day-to-day operations, ensuring that daily production schedule is followed and met.
Specific Job Responsibilities:
· Assign and ensure that employees are running to the dispatch list (work with scheduling to minimize set-ups) running any hot items first
· Ensure that all documentation (QAR’s, job travelers, MRB tags, etc.) are filled out properly and completely at end of shift
· Provide interpretation and direction for department for customer standards and specifications and internal standards and procedures
- Ensure that standardized work and quality procedures are followed and parts are produced/assembled to specification
- Comply with order of designated production schedule and meet targeted goals
- Ensure timely delivery of material to work center
- Maintain housekeeping at high level
- Escalate equipment downtime occurrences to supervision and maintenance
- Ensure accuracy of material movement within MRP system (Vantage)
- Ensure that safety policies and procedures are followed and safe work conditions exist in workplace
- Report and document any accidents or near misses to the safety officer and supervisor
- Set up jobs
- Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications: Preferred:
Specific experience: Minimum of 2 years’experience in manufacturing environment
Formal education: Graduation from an accredited High School or completion of GED program
Skills: Ability to use measuring and gauging tools such as micrometer, caliper, and radius gauges, math and print reading skills sufficient to set up production presses
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
