Overview:
As part of our continued support to our client in the aerospace industry based in Belfast, we are currently looking for a Mass Properties/Weights Engineer to support a variety of aircraft projects. The work can be done onsite at the client’s facility in Belfast or on a remote basis, visiting site on one or two days per month. This is a contract role, the rate will be dependant on experience, seniority, etc.
The initial duration is to the end of 2023, but it is likely to be a long-term assignment.

Responsibilities:
Tasks include, but not limited to: -
Work with Mass Properties team in providing support to IPT’s in achieving a weight efficient design to meet
customer expectations (within the constraints of other design drivers.)
Identification of additional weight optimisation opportunities based on past experience.
Work with Mass Properties team in allocation of a robust set of mass targets for the component and tracking of
current mass against them.
Support the Mass Properties team in generation of departmental program deliverables (e.g. Mass Status Reports,
Inertia Reports) ensuring quality standard is to customer expectations.
Work with Mass Properties team to support customer milestone reviews and deliverables.
Physical weighing of completed workpackages and production of reconciliation reports to ensure customer
requirements and guarantees are maintained.
Skills:
MS OFFICE, Catia Macros, VB Macros
Experience of major composite structural packages from
concept phase through to production support.
Valid Airbus approved signatory in Mass Properties desirable.
UK Defense security clearance desirable.
