About the role and our team
Join our team at the Poortown Quarry as a Weighbridge Operator / Storekeeper!
Some of your duties in this role will include:
- Producing tickets for materials coming both into and out of our Quarries, and ensuring vehicle, customer, material and tonnage details are all correct
- Answering and recording phone calls
- Informing production staff of customers’ tonnage and material requirements prior to loading
- Liaising with the Weighbridge at Stoney Mountain regarding their equipment needs, job information and product availability
- Dealing with cash and maintaining appropriate records
Your excellent communication skills will ensure our customers, suppliers and hauliers are dealt with in a friendly and approachable manner.
This is a varied and busy role, so a good knowledge of computer systems, record management and a familiarity with weighbridge operating software would be a benefit.

A full, valid driving licence is required for this role. You will also be provided with a uniform.
