The Sherlock Holmes Museum is looking for a part time Weekend Visitor Service Assistants to work in the home of London's most famous character.
An ideal candidate should be passionate about Sherlock Holmes and have read the stories. As well as friendly and outgoing, with the ability to communicate with people from all walks of life.
Excellent team player, comfortable to working in a busy environment, yet remain calm under pressure. Please make sure that you are availible on weekends.

Duties include:
- Serving customers and selling products
- Keeping the shop floor well-presented and tidy
- Restocking and replenishing shelves
- Ensuring the smooth-running of the shop
- Providing excellent customer service
- Delivering short tours & talks
- Delivering a confident and informed welcome to all visitors at all times
Interviews are currently via Zoom and are taking place as soon as possible.
After interview, five days training will be provided for the successful candidates. A fixed term contract will be given (end of contract is the 4th September 2023), conditionally to successful completion of training days.
Hours: 6 – 15 hrs a week between Saturday/Sunday 9 am - 6 pm
Ladies must wear a Victorian dress & apron. (Provided by the museum)
The Gentleman’s a waistcoat, tie and shirt.
