Job description
Are you fed up of working Monday to Friday 9-5? Or just looking for a change then we may have the role for you.
We are seeking applications from individuals to join our small weekend team. The shift pattern is either a Friday to Monday shift, 6am to 6pm (46 hours) OR Friday to Sunday , 6am to 6pm (36 hours) whichever you believe would work best for you and fit around any commitments you currently have.
This role has an additional shift allowance payable of 20%.
The role will be split working between our Toughening Department and our Despatch Department and will involve the following:
- Using different machinery and production line equipment
- Reading and understanding customer orders and delivery dates
- Measuring accurately
- Manual handling of glass, therefore a degree of fitness is required
- Ensure high quality standards are maintained
- Performing other tasks as assigned
- Following health and safety standards
- Maintaining a clean workstation and production floor
- Ability to take instruction
- Working as part of a team
Previous manufacturing background may be beneficial but if you have the willingness to learn then we can support you to gain new skills along the way.
We will provide you with the necessary PPE for the role and after successful completion of your training and probation period we will also supply you with workwear.
Wages are paid weekly, one week in arrears and we offer 29 days annual leave per year, 4 weeks during the year and 9 days for our annual closure in December (these will be pro rated for some shift patterns and in line with starting date).
It is essential that candidates are reliable and will attend work regularly and on time.
