DURATION: Full Time. Weekend day and/or evening work is required of this position.
LOCATION: You will be based predominately on site at Bury Court, Surrey. However, you will be required to
attend our Kingston office once a week for the BEO meetings.
REPORTS TO: Sam Berry
OUTLINE: The Senior Wedding Planner is responsible for ensuring that all client specifications are accurately
detailed, and the event is planned efficiently for the operations team to execute the wedding smoothly.
you will be the first port of contact for all catering requirements and will be the reporter for the event details to
the relevant departments.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Wedding Planning
- Once you have been handed over client details from the Bury Court team, you will work directly with couples in the full process of the catering planning. You will follow a detailed and strict time schedule,
ensuring all information is received and payments are made on time.
- To build a professional and trusting relationship with clients to enhance their wedding planning journey
- You will be responsible for arranging food tastings, site meetings and ensuring the venue is always show round ready.
- You will guide couples to choose the right packages and catering services based on their specifications and The Good Lifes menu choices.
Job Description Senior Wedding Planner
- To attend food tastings, open days and other business social events
- You will be responsible to manage a busy calendar and be able to work self-sufficiently, ensuring all duties are met and running on schedule.
- To ensure efficient and accurate BEO’s are created based on the planning deadlines for each wedding.
- To arrange and attend weekly BEO meetings to communicate event updates with HOD’s
- You will be responsible to communicate with suppliers to ensure they are meeting all T & C’s and are aware of the set up and derig information.
- To run reports for the finance team and to ensure all payments are correct and there are no outstanding invoices.
- Monitor and manage budgets and exceed sales quotas by personal upselling whilst adhering with
company policies and procedures.
- To support the operations team on the day of your clients wedding day for meet and greet and until
the ceremony is complete.

Other
- To attend training days, workshops and team development sessions to obtain technical and professional knowledge.
- As part of your training program, you will be required to work a number of weddings to learn the running of the business from an operational point of view. It will be your line managers decision to when you have had sufficient amount experience within all departments.
- To work on personal understanding and trends within the wedding industry in order to be forward thinking for future catering requirements.
- Develop a professional working relationship with the Bury Court team and ensure you are meeting the Venues core values and expectations.
- You will be professionally representing the business and so you will be responsible for networking events and bringing in new business at these occasions.
- You will be responsible to respond empathetically to any complaints, seeking advice from your line
manager in order to ensure the matter is dealt with accordingly.
Salary: 30k - 40k with a realistic bonus scheme in place.
