POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Content Producer with a passion for creating highly engaging and beautifully filmed videos - you see the world through your tack sharp focus and express your creativity in the edit suite. Whether filming high speed action on-ice or crafting a personality-driven player story, your standards for excellence are high.
As a Content Producer with Canucks Sports & Entertainment (CSE), you will be responsible for producing high quality video and stills content, including shooting short form socially focused videos and cohesive player and community-based stories. The incumbent will love the hustle of professional sports and is comfortable working with multiple lines of our business, such as social media, marketing, and partnerships.
This role will focus on:
- Producing content that aligns with our business and social media objectives for multiple CSE properties, including Vancouver Canucks, Abbotsford Canucks, Vancouver Warriors, and Rogers Arena
- Researching subjects; writing and editing scripts
- Arranging talent, guests, and sets/locations
- Filming games, practices, media, events, interviews, player visits, and partner initiatives
- Lighting scenes and interviewing subjects
- Editing short and longer form content into meaningful and engaging stories
- Ideating and producing marketing and partnership content
- Logging and transcoding footage

YOU HAVE:
- Excellent quality of work, a winning attitude, and a positive personality
- At least 3 years of related content production experience, preferably in sports or documentary storytelling
- Experience with Sony cameras and Adobe Creative Cloud
- Strong knowledge of professional hockey content and social media landscape
- Incredible camera and editing skills that make your work stand out
- Understanding of audio and sound mixes
- Versatile content creation abilities with a broad range of experience in terms of tone/voice, diverse audiences, and project types; talent for producing everything from highly entertaining to inspirational to emotional content
- Creative, insightful, and innovative way of approaching stories or problems - constantly looking for inspiration and new ways of creating
- Ability to multi-task and work well under tight timelines with unpredictable work hours and weeks
