A part time vacancy has arisen for an Occupational Therapy assistant to work in one of the community mental health teams in Leicester.
The post holders will assist the Occupational Therapists in the delivery of treatment interventions in a wide range of local community settings including in patients own homes. Interventions may be delivered individually or as part of group work.
The post holder will need a relevant qualification in health care or have relevant experience in delivering health care. Successful candidates will have knowledge of mental health conditions as well as an understanding of the role of occupational therapy in the development of a persons health and wellbeing.
The OT service is delivered as part of a Multi-disciplinary team and post holders will be working alongside other mental health professionals in order to deliver integrated care. The successful candidates will be working under the supervision of a qualified occupational therapist.
