Your role...
Based in the London Tech Hub Ingest Operators are responsible for the preparation, routing, ingesting and monitoring of incoming feeds required for recording content across both the Eurosport and FTA platforms.
Duties will also include QC’ing processing and sharing content. Preparing meta data and audio configurations. Managing bookings of Live and non-Live feeds. Whilst working closely with production and other departments.
Your Accountabilities...
- Responsible for the capture and QC of sports content sent from distribution or recorded
- Preparing scheduled WBD Sports recordings into SCS cloud recording system including
- Using MediaPulse to review bookings and ensure all are correctly in SCS with metadata.
- Routing sources for recordings using BNCS panel.
- High quality monitoring of all ongoing recordings across both London and Paris tech hubs.
- Prioritizing ingest requests from multiple departments across the markets.
- Close interaction with the Sports Coordinators and MAM departments to achieve the goal of
- Preparing “live” playback for fast turnaround content to Playout, Cloud Playout or MCR (for
- Responsible for promptly raising technical issues with Support Engineering and ensuring all
- Accurate metadata entry and application into all applications used in the facility.
- Submitting daily shift handovers including errors and / or discrepancies etc
Requirements...
- Knowledge of video / audio equalization equipment including waveform, vector scopes,
- Ability to work and remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Prepared to operate in a fast paced, high pressure and deadline driven environment.
- Operational knowledge of transmission and edit technologies.
- Demonstrable quality control experience.
- Knowledge and enthusiasm for a wide range of sports under the WBD portfolio.
- Excellent communication skills to deal with Production teams, Edit, MCR, Engineering and
- Ability to work a shift pattern roster including weekends and night shifts
