You will thrive completing pre-planned maintenance of water hygiene works for our clients across our field-based role, travelling and delivering projects for clients across the Bristol and surrounding area regions. Travel will be a key requirement of your role, with occasional travel further afield depending on our business needs.

Your responsibilities:

  • Delivering a variety of water hygiene works to high standards
  • Cleaning and disinfecting showers
  • Checking and cleaning water tanks and systems
  • Delivering TMV checks and maintenance
  • Checking and disinfecting calorifiers
  • Completing all work on in house software using an iPad

Your experience:

  • Previous water hygiene experience, achieving results to high standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience using iPad technology
  • Full UK Driving Licence (You will be provided with a company van)

Applicants must be able to provide evidence of their Right to Work in the UK.

All roles at SMS require a DBS check; SMS Environmental will cover the cost of this if you do not already hold a valid DBS certificate.

For more than 20 years, SMS Environmental has been one of the leading water hygiene service providers throughout the UK, ensuring the public are protected from infectious diseases that can be carried through water systems. We provide essential services to an array of domestic and commercial clients including water testing, risk assessments, air sampling and air conditioning maintenance.

Our extensive skills and expertise in infection control and systems management have given us a key opportunity to drive the design and standardisation of Water Treatment education and training used throughout the industry today. We work closely with City & Guilds, CIBSE (CPD) Accreditation Board and UKAS to create, review and enhance modern water hygiene training course contents, materials and assessments to ensure they are fit for purpose and set high standards for the whole sector to aspire to.
