The Jacobs Returnship program has been designed for talented professionals looking to REFRESH SKILLS, REBUILD CONFIDENCE and REIGNITE CAREERS after an extended career break and absence from the workforce. This is paid, 16-week initiative with intent to transition our returners to permanent placement. As diverse as our business is, as are the opportunities we have available. Our cohort of Returnship participants will join multidisciplinary teams across a variety of divisions.
Your Impact:
The Jacobs team is the largest water practice in the Atlanta market with a team of 125 determined, high-performing individuals working with most major metro-area clients on a vast array of projects. We are looking for an experience and passionate professional to join our team. The candidate will work on a variety of water market projects serving our municipal, federal, industrial, and other clients. This position will be required to work independently and as part of larger multi-discipline teams to deliver solution to our clients. The successful candidate will be comfortable working on a wide variety of tasks and with peers in the Atlanta, GA office and throughout the company. This position offers a self-motivated professional an opportunity to grow personally as well as professionally within our diverse and fast-paced office.
As a participant, you will:
- Experience 16 weeks of on the job learning and exploration with a diverse community of professionals from a wide range of backgrounds
- Access the vast network of resources at Jacobs through continual leadership development, support and mentorship from our dedicated Returnship program team
- Be confident that you will receive ongoing support and mentorship and support as you navigate the transition with us to permanent employment
- Be a part of our Returnship cohort community participating in regular focus group feedback session and social events to facilitate a seamless transition as you return to the workforce
To be a successful candidate, you shall possess:
- B.S. in Civil, Environmental, or related engineering or technical discipline
- 8+ years of experience as an engineer, scientist, or project manager
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- Experience working in a multi-discipline project team
- Strong and effective written, verbal and public-speaking skills
