Job description
Thames Valley Utilities is seeking motivated individuals to join our growing team of commercial water meter readers in the Basingstoke, Swindon, and Oxford areas.
Our roles offer a flexible working aspect and the ability to control your own earnings. They are suited to those who have their own vehicle enjoy working outdoors, have great customer-facing skills, and have good local knowledge.
Thames Valley Utilities pay our meter readers per site visit, allowing our team members to earn significantly more than similar roles offering a fixed salary. Our established meter readers typically earn between £100 and £150 per day, over 6 to 8 hours between 7am and 7pm – when you work between those times is up to you!
We never expect our meter readers to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, or bank holidays, but the option is there if you wish.

Requirements
· Use of own vehicle (car/van) with suitable insurance cover
· Use of own mobile device
· Great customer facing skills
· DBS/Criminal checks (costs covered)
· Experience preferred, but not essential
· Basic English
We are offering an initial 3 month contract with the option to extend to 12 months following a performance review after 1 month.
Part time applications will be considered but would require a commitment to specific days of the week.
