Waste Operative – Previous Experience Required
Location: The O2 Arena, Peninsula Square, London SE10 0DX
Salary: £11.64 per hour
Contract Hours: 36 per week
Shift Pattern: Varied – 3 days in 3 days off in rotation (12-hour shifts)
1-hour unpaid lunch break
PSS group are a nationwide Soft Facilities Services provider, who work with some of the biggest names in retail, entertainment, facilities management and more.
Waste Operative Responsibilities Include:
- Collecting waste from all waste collection points
- Driving Waste buggies
- Operate all waste equipment situated within the waste collection points and waste compound.
- Operate Weigh Bridge
- Operate Food Digester
- Adhere to AEG Europe Recycling / Segregation Programme
- Report faults / breakages to Waste & Recycling Supervisor
- Ensuring that the waste rooms, compounds are kept clean and tidy at all times.

- Working as a team player
- Speak, write, and understand English language to a reasonable standard.
- Communication skills inclusive of telephone and radio use.
- Full understanding and approval of the pay structure concerning this position.

- General Appearance – Role would require a smart appearance to include black trousers (no jeans or cargo) and black shoes. Tattoos should be covered up where possible along with long hair tied back and jewellery to be kept to a minimum.

- Right to work – The employee for this role will need proof of right to work in the UK – this would be through a residence card/permit or a EU settlement Scheme Code.
- Training – Colleagues will have access to full training programme via eLearning platform and will also be able to use the employee assistance programmes.
Staff to partake in machinery training directly from the manufactures (such as Tennant)
