Waste Collection Operative

2 x 37 hours (plus 4 hours contractual overtime per week)

Band 4: £20,812 - £21,189 pa

Permanent

Working across Bradford Metropolitan District

An opportunity has arisen for the above position, to work at the Authority’s Harris Street and Stockbridge Depots undertaking waste collection duties across the Bradford Metropolitan District, working a 4 day working week Tuesday to Friday.

You will be willing to undertake both loading duties & liaising with members of the public, you will be required and expected to carryout additional training as required in line with the department’s operational requirements.

You will

Be able to undertake lifting, walking long distances, carrying, bending & be willing to work outdoors in all weathers.
Be capable of working individually or part of a team.
Have an understanding and able to apply written and verbal instructions and to complete daily work sheets and documentation.
Have experience of working in a Waste Management environment.
Have a geographical knowledge of Bradford Metropolitan District.
