3 Waste Collection Loader posts are being advertised by the Waste Strategy and Operations Group of Caerphilly County Borough Council.
The Loader role is multi-skilled job within Refuse and Cleansing services. The purpose of the role is to provide an effective, efficient and quality service to Caerphilly citizens for the collection of refuse, recycling, green waste and food waste. The role actively works as part of a team to ensure that Caerphilly can meet its waste and recycling targets. It is expected that the post holder will actively contribute to the team to not only deliver but also promote the service. The role also includes responsibility for the presentation and upkeep of a vehicle and the basic administration duties such as the completion of data sheets as required.
One of the key areas of responsibility for successful candidates is to deliver excellent customer service and deal with customer queries on waste and recycling issues as they arise. Additionally, the Loader will provide information and guidance to customers on appropriate waste disposal promoting and supporting the principles of waste minimisation and recycling.
