Warehouse Colleague

Shift 2pm - 10pm
We currently have permanent full-time vacancies for Warehouse Colleagues on a 2pm to 10pm shift at Rochdale - working 40 hours per week any 5 from 7 days.
Basic salary £11.30 per hour.
- For overtime (on the same day) £12.30
- Overtime on days off pay is changed to £16.95
- Working on a weekend is £12.73
- Shift Allowance (6pm – 6am) is £1.48 an hour

The Role
You will be responsible for correctly and effectively carrying out all the required functions, once trained to do so, in any area of the warehouse, such as order picking, loading, FLT, cross-dock, loading / unloading trailers – plus many more. All work must be carried out in a timely fashion to a high standard of accuracy. You will be working on a 5-day fixed rota pattern which will include (but not always unless preferred) weekend work.
How will you contribute?
- Reporting to Warehouse Line Managers
- Required to undertake loading, picking and unloading duties which involves lifting of heavy stock/products
- To carry out a variety of warehouse duties to include pallet truck operation and mechanical handling equipment
- To carry out the preparation of store orders accurately, efficiently and to the highest quality level
- To be responsible for the health and safety of themselves and other operatives by adhering to safe working practices
What will you bring?
- Must be adaptable to assist in all areas of the warehouse with a flexible team-based approach
- Will have a good eye for detail combined with basic numeracy and literacy skills
- Warehouse experience would be an advantage, but training will be provided
- Will be able to work accurately under restricted timescales.
