An excellent opportunity has become available within a manufacturing business, who are searching for an experienced Warehouse Operative to join their team in the Basingstoke area. The organisation has decades of experience within their sector, and cover both the sale and rental market for their manufacturing products, enabling them to have coverage across the sector and build a dynamic customer base with varying needs.
This position will play a key role in the daily operations of the business, ensuring that the business is able to fulfill orders, that stock is accounted for and placed in the correct locations and that the correct documentation is at hand when needed. This role will enable the business to continue its successes in delivering excellent products to their customers in a timely and professional manner.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:
- Picking & packing small and large part orders throughout the day, as they come into the warehouse, processing the orders for shipment in the UK and abroad
- Checking deliveries that arrive to the warehouse, ensuring stock levels are correct, conducting stock checks and replenishments and checking that stock is put away safely into its correction location
- Preparing large parts pallet orders for shipping in a timely manner
- Checking over returned parts and stock, conducting a visual inspection and checklist of items, ensuring all returns documentation is correct and present and putting stock away where needed
- Supporting the managers to ensure the smooth running of the warehouse
- Ad-hoc tasks as needed by the team
What you will need to Apply:
Attitude is key within this role, and the business are seeking workers who are eager to get stuck in, have a diligent mindset and are proactive in their approach to workloads. Previous experience in a warehouse setting, handling stock movement and order packing is essential. It would be highly desirable for applicants to have a valid forklift license as using this kind of machine/transport will be a part of the role. Much of the scope of the role will be taught with comprehensive training. You will need good communication skills and excellent time management abilities.
What you will get in Return:
The company are offering a starting salary of potentially up to £30,000, depending on previous experience and relevant licenses held, and this will accompany a package that includes excellent holiday and pension contributions, the option to earn bonus and access to additional monetary incentives and perks.
