Job description
As a Warehouse Operative primarily the focus of this role is the smooth running of the warehouse and returns department. A Warehouse Operative may work in many areas of our warehouse, whether this be Goods Inwards, Picking or Checking. This role also includes a back up for the trade counter to assist the counter sales / warehouse staff in ensuring the counter is manned at all times and customers are not kept waiting. As a Warehouse Operative at R&B Star Electrical Wholesalers you'll report directly to the Warehouse Manager. Your role will also include meeting the below objectives.
- Assist in running of the warehouse - pick / pack / check orders / warehouse transfers
- Ensure shelves are neat and tidy and any rubbish is removed
- Supervise loading / unloading of branch delivery van / inter branch transfer
- Notify short stock when picking
- Inspect returns and liaise with returns department when accepting goods back over the counter
- Liaise effectively with all departments within R & B Star to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Provide cover / assistance when the counter is not manned (or when it is busy)
- Request assistance when busy to ensure customers are not kept waiting
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £22,000.00 per year
