Job description

Keplin Group Limited, a leading company in the [industry/sector], is seeking a dedicated and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our team at our Stratford-upon-Avon location. As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of goods, maintaining inventory records, and contributing to the overall success of our supply chain operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Order Processing: Receive, verify, and process incoming orders accurately, ensuring that products are picked, packed, and labeled correctly for shipment to customers.
  • Stock Management: Monitor inventory levels, perform stock counts, and assist in maintaining accurate stock records using appropriate warehouse management systems.
  • Goods Handling: Safely and efficiently load, unload, and move goods within the warehouse using appropriate equipment and following established procedures.
  • Quality Control: Conduct visual inspections of incoming and outgoing goods to ensure they meet company quality standards and report any issues or discrepancies.
  • Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized warehouse environment, ensuring that goods are stored in designated locations and that aisles are clear for safe movement.
  • Health and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues. Report any safety concerns or incidents immediately.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues and other teams, providing support and assistance as required to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Documentation: Complete relevant paperwork, such as delivery notes, stock records, and other administrative tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency, productivity, and overall operations.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations at all times.

Requirements:

  • Previous Experience: Proven experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment is highly desirable.
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting, carrying, and moving heavy objects, and standing for extended periods.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately record and manage stock levels and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Team Player: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with colleagues at all levels.
  • Time Management: Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Health and Safety Awareness: Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • IT Skills: Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems or inventory management software would be advantageous.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as per operational requirements.
