As a Warehouse Operative you will work towards ensuring the business is operating smoothly, you are the people that make it happen! All operatives play a part in the warehouse process from goods in to goods out and everything in between meaning this is a varied role with room to build on your experience and skills.

Main responsibilities:

  • Unload inbound freight accurately and safely in accordance with the goods in schedule ensuring that containers and trailers are released on time
  • Check inbound freight to ensure the quantity and quality of goods received is to expectation
  • Labelling and storing inbound goods in a timely manner, accurately storing within the WMS system
  • Booking in goods within the same day ensuring stock is available so that we may fulfil our customer orders
  • Placing stock in the right location in readiness for goods out processes using appropriate manual handling equipment to complete the process
  • Identifying and recording of any damaged stock
  • Returns are processed correctly with the customer in mind.
  • Running of the replenishment cycle for on demand and manual replenishment
  • Picking items with a high level of accuracy and itemising accurately in preparation for transport.
  • Ensuring dispatches are correctly labelled and loaded to the relevant carrier, the best carrier is used both for commercials and customer service
  • Take responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others ensuing that correct processes are followed

What we’re looking for in you:

  • Proven experience working within a warehouse environment
  • Any warehouse relevant licenses such as FLT would be a distinct advantage
  • Experience within the goods in/goods out process would be ideal
  • Attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures would be a distinct advantage
  • Ability to work flexibly as we operate out of 2 sites

You will work within the small but friendly warehouse team where you will be supported and encouraged to use your initiative and grow with the business, this is a key position and pivotal to the success of our business.
