Job description
Due to expansion, Chelmsford Plastic Warehouse require a warehouse/yard person, responsible for working in our yard, including such duties as manually loading and unloading materials, operating mechanical loading equipment, preparing materials for customer collections/deliveries, dealing with trade and general public customers.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Prompt turnaround of our own vehicles
- Provide excellent customer service, serving customers promptly and efficiently
- Clean and tidy yard
- Unload and load incoming out outgoing vehicles
- Willing to perform any ad-hoc duties as may deemed necessary or as may be required by the company
- Operating Forklift truck
- Assign materials to the proper yard location
Skills and Qualities
- Experience of working in a similar role within a builders merchants is not essential but would be an advantage
- Good communication skills
- Forklift truck licence (not essential as training can be provided)
- Able to work on own initiative
- Full Driving Licence essential
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
