The Role

We will provide you with a mentor to support your learning and development while you work towards a Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative qualification. Our apprenticeship programme ideally suited to an individual who wishes to pursue or develop a career in warehousing and logistic. It combines practical training with real on-the-job work experience within a warehousing environment, learning about quality, warehousing, storage, dispatch processes and safety standards.

The main purpose of this role is to assist in the day to day running of the warehouse including but not exclusive of the following duties and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • To assist in the loading and unloading of vehicles for both deliveries received and stock going out.
  • Packing stock away
  • Following the correct procedure for returns when required
  • To manufacture stock as required (within in your trained and approved abilities) sticking to the specifications at all times
  • Prepare goods for delivery
  • Supplying production with the correct levels and correct raw materials throughout the day
  • Maintaining the premises and carrying out repairs when required
  • To make deliveries to customers where required
  • Maintain a clean and tidy workspace / area
  • Any other reasonable task as required by management
  • To comply with all company ISO policies, and to seek to make recommendations for continuous improvements in the running and efficiency of the business.

The Selection Process:

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Min 2 GCSE’s including A*-C/9-4 in English and Math’s
  • Enjoy learning new skills
  • Reliable
  • Self-motivated
  • Be able to lift and load
  • Be able to work unsupervised
  • Min 1+ years’ work experience in any field
  • H&S rules and requirements
  • Alignment to our Values and Core Behaviours

Desirable

  • Clean Full UK Drivers Licence
  • FLT Licence
  • 1+ years of previous experience in a warehouse related role
