Due to a recent internal promotion within the warehouse team, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Leader to join the backshift. The purpose of this role is to ensure that the Macallan Business Unit needs and HMRC regulations are fulfilled with particular regard to minimising maturation losses, carrying out a full annual stock check and delivering the required sampling plan. This includes all cask integrity check activity, low cask utilisation, cask stock checking, cask re-gauging and delivering sampling requirements. A key aspect of the role will involve working closely with operators and senior operators to ensure all day to day operations are delivered whilst also working with the Warehouse Manager and MAC BU to support future requirements and overall business strategy.
- Collaborate with The Macallan BU and deliver excellent quality and service according to plan
- Managing all tap & repair activity, low cask utilisation, cask stock checking within warehouses and delivering sampling and cask re-gauge requirements
- Ensure all daily, weekly monthly checks are completed in relation to warehouses, sample traceability and stock cask
- Support the Senior Warehouse Operations Manager and Warehouse Planning Controller to manage warehouse vacuity - achieving most effective maturation whilst minimising losses and insurance risks
- Manage and lead the development of a team of senior operators and operators
- Responsibility for compliance with HMRC, HSE and environmental legislation
- Ensure site security controls are adhered to
- Play an integral role in the Transform Operations programme and for the North warehousing function including collaboration with GWR and Buchley
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence across warehouse operations
- Support the management of the overall Macallan warehouse team budget
- Manage effectively warehouse labour requirements and equipment utilisation in collaboration with other warehouse operations team leaders
- Management of external contractors as required within plant area
- Provide a 24hr on call service on a rota basis
