Role Summary
The purpose of the role is to support the Warehouse Supervisor with the day-to-day operation of the warehouse, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of operational activities to meet and exceed customer expectations. Leading from the front, you will provide supervision to the Gibb Tools and Gibb Safety teams, coordinating their workloads, providing support to ensure that the team delivers by monitoring any issues, and ensuring receipt, put-away and pick functions are completed in full and on time.
What you’ll be doing
- Proactively assist in the efficient running of the warehouse operation to fulfil operational and customer demand.
- Ensure that products received into the warehouse are correctly identified received onto OGL and are put-away in the prime location within permitted time scales.
- Ensure the timely and accurate dispatch of customer orders in accordance with set delivery dates.
- Ensure stock movements are recorded accurately and discrepancies or surplus are reported to the inventory manager.
- Where possible, resolve any issues or problems which occur in your area of responsibility (AOR) and where appropriate, escalate the issue to the warehouse supervisor.
- Support the organising of stock and participate in stock takes as directed by the warehouse supervisor which will include working overtime when required.
- Assist in the planning of future capacity requirements for new lines of stock.
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in accordance with the company’s Ship Shape policy within your AOR, reporting any Health & Safety concerns to the warehouse manager.
- Ensure your team adhere to the Health &Safety policy, as well as anyone indirectly within your AOR.
- Monitor all embroidery orders, both incoming and outgoing, ensuring set timelines are met.
- Ensure that all safety related items with serial numbers are picked and recorded correctly prior to issue.
- Serving customers and dealing with enquiries.
- Additional / ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

Other requirements:
- Warehouse experience preferred
- Full clean UK driving licence
- Excellent organisational and prioritising skills
- Strong attention to detail and high focus on accuracy
- Good communication skills with a courteous manner
- Proactive and a self-starter who is able to multi-task
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Reliable and trustworthy with a good work ethic
- Good IT / excel skills
