Mabel & Fox might be small, but we certainly pack a punch! We are a rapidly growing independent, online retailer specialising in Baby & Toddler essentials. Based in South Norwich and established by a Mum on maternity leave in 2015, we have since grown rapidly and have an amazing team of 9 working from our Warehouse & Office in Mulbarton. Due to recent growth, we are now looking for a talented and self-motivated individual to join our successful business.
We currently have a position for a part time Processing & Warehouse Assistant to join our team based in Mulbarton. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our team and will work closely with our Management Team.
We do everything all under one roof, so you will be exposed to all aspects of an online business. This means that the role is a great environment for someone ambitious to evolve within the role. The successful candidate will have at least 1 year experience in a similar role - ideally with an online retailer.
Processing & Warehouse Assistant Responsibilities:
The primary focus of this position is to ensure the accurate and timely processing of orders. The Warehouse Assistant role is key within the business and is primarily responsible for the day-to-day duties relating to the pick, pack and ship operations of the business.
- The accurate & timely printing, sorting, picking and packing of our online orders.
- Ensuring the quality of the dispatch process is to the standards expected by the company and customer.
- Assisting with the unpacking, sorting and storage of all incoming stock deliveries.
- Replenishment of stock on shelves.
- Assisting the Returns team with clearing cardboard and re-stocking returned product.
- Assisting couriers with the loading of parcels to be shipped.
- Ensuring the warehouse is kept tidy, organised and clear of debris to not only meet H&S standards, but also the expected operating standards of our brand.
- Liaising with customers regarding any order delays, out of stock items or incomplete information.
- Packaging product, such as: dummies and M&F branded items.
- Building packing boxes.
Essential Experience & Skills:
- Highly efficient and well organised.
- Excellent communication and the ability to converse with customers.
- A proficient understanding of Maths and English.
- A strong eye for detail.
- I.T literate; must be able to operate Microsoft Office programs including Excel and Word.
- Ability to work in a methodical way, managing your own time to ensure you keep on top of workload.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well within a team environment.
- An excellent work ethic, a can-do attitude, proactive and desire to learn new skills.
Desired, but not essential:
- Experience with the web platform Shopify is a big plus.
- A keen interest and understanding of the Baby & Toddler industry is advantageous.
The hours for this role would be Monday - Friday 9.30am - 2.30pm. The position will be for an initial 7 month period to cover our busy Summer & Christmas period. Potential to be a permanent position for the right candidate, as we are a rapidly growing business.
Salary: £19,000-£22,000 (pro-rata for part time)
