Job description
30x30 is an ambitious project to deliver at least 30% of Scotland’s land under area based conservation by 2030. The project team have been working on the development of the framework that will outline the principles that will be followed to meet this ambitious and exciting goal.
This post, based within the EDIT (Environmental Data and Innovative Technologies) team, will focus on data research and working with the project team to understand data requirements. This will include developing an understanding of what questions can be asked of the data, data gaps and levels of confidence in the available data. It will also include the collation, preparation, analysis, mobilisation and visualisation of environmental data.
The post would suit someone with an interest in Scotland’s nature and a good understanding of data/spatial data analysis who enjoys taking innovative approaches to exploring visualising and story-telling with data to uncover the possibilities it can present.
