Warehouse & Packing Support
Job description
The Vanilla Valley is an online retail business selling specialist cake decorating equipment locally and worldwide via online selling channels. We are looking to expand our warehouse and packing team at our retail unit in Nantgarw, Cardiff.
The ideal applicant will have previous warehouse experience and must have a Fork truck license. Main responsibilities will be within the warehouse however the successful applicant will be expected to pack orders within our packing & dispatch department aswell.
Warehouse Responsibilities:
· Working alongside the warehouse manager
· Managing deliveries from suppliers being delivered into us
· Unloading lorries using a counter balance fork lift truck
· Unpack and check off deliveries from suppliers
· Organising pallets of stock into storage areas
· Maintain appropriate stock levels in our packing room
· Maintain and clean the working environment for efficient operation
Packing & Dispatch Responsibilities:
· Picking customer orders via a scanner
· Accurately packing customer orders
· Working to targets
· Working within the team to hit dispatch deadlines
Skills:
· Organisation & eye for detail
· Punctuality and Reliability is essential
· An enthusiastic, positive and friendly manner
· Ability to work under pressure and work on your own initiative
· Physically fit – you will need to manually move stock/materials
· Fork truck license is essential
Salary & Hours:
· Hourly Rate will be National Minimum Living Wage
· Contract - Minimum 24 hours per week (however at busy times more hours are required)
· Candidates must be available to work any time between 9am-5pm Monday to Friday
