PYROTEK ENGINEERING MATERIALS LTD Milton Keynes specialises in the machining of calcium silicate and NAD and is a small, but busy factory located in Wymbush, Milton Keynes.

Working alongside the Senior Warehouse Operative, you will have a shared responsibility for all warehousing activities and will report to the Plant Manager.

Responsibilities include

  • Using industrial packaging materials, such as cardboard boxes, wooden pallets to package goods safely and securely
  • Booking transport for UK shipments via an online portal
  • Load packaged goods onto trucks for shipping
  • Unloading incoming goods and materials from trucks
  • Ensuring that all goods that are loaded or unloaded match the relevant paperwork
  • Liaising with customer service department to ensure correct paperwork is sent with goods
  • Goods receipting incoming goods and materials
  • Reporting any damaged or missing goods to the Plant Manager
  • Assisting with stock take and daily cycle counts
  • Keeping the warehouse environment clean and tidy and maintaining equipment, reporting any issues to the Plant Manager
  • Following workplace health and safety rules when handling goods

Skills Required

  • Experience of warehousing is required, warehousing within a manufacturing environment is preferred but not essential
  • Operation of a counter balance/reach truck/side loader is a requirement and experience with these is preferred
  • Ability to carry out tasks in a timely manner to meet collection and shipping deadlines
  • Ability to follow quality and safety requirements during packing to enable products to be transported globally without damage
  • Computer literacy and good communication skills
  • Ability to cope well under pressure and think clearly during busy periods

Work Schedule

07:30 - 16:15 - Monday to Thursday

07:00 - 12:00 - Fridays

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £23,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
