The Hiring Heroes are proudly recruiting on behalf of a well established company in Bradford and THE market leader in manufacturing of their products!
They are looking for a Warehouse Operative/Delivery Driver to join the business.
Main Duties
- Key holder
- Administrative tasks necessary to execute the role successfully using the company bespoke computer system and scanners
- Ability to meet deadlines, multi-task and prioritize workload
- Collate invoices/despatch notes for transport
- Check delivery vehicles for cleanliness and documents
- To assist with year-end and quarterly stock takes.
Warehouse Responsibilities
- Using handheld scanners, pick corresponding products from stock and load up our vans for delivery the next day
- Palletise and wrap orders ready for dispatch where necessary
- Check incoming goods for damages/tampering/foreign bodies/signs of infestation etc. and report any concerns to the Bradford Warehouse Supervisor / Site Manager
- Check incoming goods against delivery notes including checking for correct pack sizes, reporting any discrepancies to the Bradford Warehouse Supervisor / Site Manager
- Book in goods received onto computer system and once approved, generate bar-coded pallet labels
from computer system.
- Scan products to stock using handheld scanners and barcodes
- Organise courier as and when necessary.
- Stock rotation in warehouse – when goods are received via goods in ensure that it is stored in the
warehouse in date order (First In, First Out)
- Move stock in warehouse around as necessary and unload deliveries of Suppliers using Forklift Truck
(Counterbalance) as well as pedestrian operated pallet trucks
- Raising continuous improvement note (CIN) where necessary to report exceptions i.e. damaged stock,
issues relating the building
- Ensure the warehouse is kept clean & tidy and report any faulty equipment to Site Manager or Area
Sales Representative by raising a CIN
- Ensure kitchen and WC are kept clean and tidy
- Stock take – 4 times per year, pallet build stock pre stock take to prepare for quarterly stock takes.
Driving
- To drive all classes of vehicle to which the post holder is licensed
- To observe the highway code at all times and drive courteously and carefully at all times
- To ensure that the vehicle is kept in a clean, safe & operational condition reporting any defects
immediately
- To manoeuvre stock, load and unload vans, and deliver goods as instructed by the Management team
- To collect monies and complete any necessary paperwork as directed
- Assist with customer
Working hours are 6.30am – 3pm or 8.50am – 5.20pm. They work on a rotational basis, so one week on earlies then the next week on lates and so on. (If you are on the late shift on a Friday the hours are (8am – 4.30pm).
