WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE (Temporary Work)

We are recruiting for temporary workers to cover a number of shifts and time scales. See below

Monday – Friday 06:00-14:00 (Expected Start W/C: 07/08/2023)
Monday – Friday 14:00-22:00 (Expected Start W/C: 07/08/2023)
Sunday – 06:00-14:00 (Expected Start 07/08/2023)

Saturday and Sunday – 06:00-14:00 (Expected Start W/C16/10/2023)
Saturday and Sunday - 14:00-22:00 (Expected Start W/C16/10/2023)

Sunday-Thursday – 22:00-06:00 (Night Shift) (Expected Start W/C: 23/10/2023)

Reports to: Team Leader
Location: Staci UK, Blackburn (Walker Park), BB1 2LG
Salary: £10.42 per hour

JOB PURPOSE
To work within our Ecomm team to help us pick and pack customer orders through peak trading. We will be recruiting in staggered stages for this role with the first team members joining mid August.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
A hardworking individual who thrives in achieving their daily challenges, with a 'can do’ attitude. A trustworthy and reliable individual who can follow procedures to achieve their daily tasks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

● Picking and packing of orders.

● Process waste into appropriate waste categories for collection by our environmental partner.

● Use handheld RF scanners and PC applications to conduct duties.

● Accurately dispatch parcels.

● Maintain a safe working environment, observing health and safety procedures at all times. Ensure that the work area is kept clean, free from hazards, and waste at all times.

● Undertake other duties as required in order to support the business in achieving excellence for all customers.

CRITICAL SKILLS

● Ability to carry out duties accurately.

● Ability to follow verbal instruction or written process.

● Work effectively within a team to achieve the daily picking and packing of orders.

● Able to pack orders in a cost effective way.

● Understanding of basic Health and safety requirements
