As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll be working in our busy operations department (full training will be given). You’ll be working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday back shift. In return for your hard work, we’ll offer you a competitive hourly rate of £10.42 plus £20 attendence allowance per week,overtimes rate £15.65 . What you’ll do on a typical day:
- To assist in the daily setup of warehouse to ensure operational objectives are achieved.
- Ensure all consignments received are checked against handover manifests and all consignments scanned to their relevant trunking codes.
- Assist in the loading / unloading of Trunk Vehicles
- Identify and log / capture photos of poorly packaged or damaged consignments.
- Work to strict deadlines to ensure all trunks leave on time and all consignments loaded correctly and safely.
- Use XPO Traffic Management System to ensure correct Manifests / Paperwork are issued to Drivers to ensure fully compliant full training provided.
- To be able to overcome and the ability to solve issues as they arise.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards.
What you need to succeed at XPO:
- Exceptional communication skills
- Be Computer literate with a knowledge of Office Applications, (Word / Excel) preferred but not essential.
- Problem Solver who can think on their feet.
- Excellent timekeeper with a track record for punctuality
- Proud to demonstrate attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Smart appearance
- Exceptional team player having confidence when challenged.
- Great personality who will mould well within a small team of professionals.
- Background within a busy warehouse with FLT licence preferred but not essential.
