It delivers British milk (in its iconic 1 pint glass reusable bottles) and artisan groceries to the doorsteps of nearly 350,000 households. We make 1 million deliveries each week via one of the UK’s largest fleet of electric vehicles. The purpose of a Warehouse Centre Operative is to assist the Operations Manager in ensuring that the internal picking operation and associated tasks of stock control are completed and in addition all routes are delivered in full which will include the undertaking of routes as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Approximately 48 hours which will be covered over a period of 6 nights - Sunday - Friday nights
- To manage and pick products
- To load and unload delivery vehicles
- To carry out an accurate and reconciled stock count daily in order to minimise wastage
- Manage costs to budgeted levels and ensure that replenishment team have accurate stock figures
- Comply with various procedures relating to quality and processes
- Work as part of the Centre team to ensure all customer orders are fulfilled and correct stock levels maintained
- Ensure the product areas, outside environment / yard areas and Vehicles meet the Company's cleanliness standards at all times
- To ensure all Products from suppliers are stored, distributed and comply with MQS procedures and all Food Hygiene regulations
- To maintain and comply with all GDPR requirements in all duties
- As necessary the role will require both Residential and B2B routes to be undertaken where required with accuracy and attention to detail
- To ensure, at all times, that service levels are maintained in line with customer service standards
- You will be provided with uniform and personal protective equipment; the safety of our colleagues is paramount but you will also be expected to adhere to Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations.
Challenges of a Warehouse Centre Operative:
- Working alone and within a team
- Learning routes and delivering to multiple customers before 7am
- Ability to multi task duties
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
- Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence appropriate to the vehicle type (B, C or Class 2)
- Maximum 6 points on driving licence accepted
- Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills – you will be instrumental behind a Milk & More delivery which takes place over night, over six nights
- Must be comfortable working alone and able to work nights
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role
Hours, Salary & Company Benefits:
