Role Overview:

We are recruiting for warehouse operative roles to join our stock control team in the JD Sports warehouse Derby. JD Sports is one of the UK's largest fashion and sportswear retailers. The Company specializes in the sale of sports fashion and outdoor footwear and apparel, combining big global brands.

You will be required to undertake aspects of Stock Control duties across the Distribution Centre from receiving and processing stock as part of the Inbound function to despatching and loading the stock Outbound. Ensuring an effective, speedy and accurate delivery of the warehouse operation in accordance with the company requirements.

Role of Warehouse Operative (Stock Control):

  • Sorting stock
  • Counting stock
  • Packing both small and large orders
  • Orders picking
  • Labelling orders
  • Working quickly and accurately
  • Manually lifting products
  • Listening to and following instructions
  • General warehouse duties
  • Any other duties required by the Operational Management Team

As a warehouse operative you will need to have:

  • A basic level of English
  • Ability to count manually
  • Reliable and flexible to the needs of the business
  • Working well as a team
  • Quality checking skills
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Ability and willingness to perform manual work
  • Full training will be provided
