What is the job opportunity?
We are now recruiting for a warehouse operative to join the night shift in our friendly Birmingham team.

- Salary £25,874 p.a.
- Full time
- Permanent
Working pattern
- 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday,
- Working a 9-hour shift from 6p.m. to 3a.m. with a 1-hour unpaid break per shift.
- 25 days holiday PLUS 8 statutory/bank holidays.
Whats the overall purpose of the role?
To assist in the pick, sortation, storage, loading and unloading of product within the warehouse operation.
What will you be doing?
As a key member of the warehouse team, you will assist in all aspects of warehouse work, including:
- Unloading stock (from the National Distribution Centre) from internal delivery vehicles.
- Picking customer orders.
- Accurately loading deliver vehicles within the allocated time frame, ensuring all deliveries are loaded safely.
- Carrying out stock checks.
- Moving and relocating stock.
- Putting away stock.
- Following all aspects of Manual Handling and safe working policies.
- Handling all freight with care and attention.
- Ensuring the warehouse is kept tidy and that Health and Safety issues are reported immediately.
What do you NEED to have?
- Able to work well as part of a team.
- Able to work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Happy to work in a warehouse environment.
- Committed to delivering excellent customer service.
- Able to manually lift/carry/move up to 25 kg.
What would be NICE for you to have?
- A first aider qualification.
- A current, valid forklift, counterbalance or reach truck licence.
- Previous experience working in a warehouse or distribution centre.
- A commitment to learn and progress within the branch.
