We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative (Merchandise) to join our Immingham Warehouse team. The role will see the post holder based out of our Immingham Plant.

Job Purpose


To maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by ensuring that the correct goods are loaded onto vehicles and dispatched on time. To maintain a high standard of cleanliness and general housekeeping in the areas associated with the Warehouse.

Ensure all goods inwards are placed in correct area and the paperwork is checked before handing in to dispatch office. Manage accurate order picking of goods for dispatch.


Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities:


  • You are required to follow company Health and Safety procedures to ensure the safety of yourself and others. Raise Golddusts and challenge unsafe events as they rise. You must put safety first and when you are unsure you are expected to seek to understand.
  • You must comply with all quality systems to ensure the Customer expectations are met. That all paperwork / FIFO / SAP systems are managed / maintained. Coordinate stock that does not comply with our quality standards, ensuring segregation, resort, and scrap. (Complete relevant paperwork).
  • You are expected to operate clean-as-you-go standards in line with the 5S methodology, ‘A place for everything & everything in its place’ to ensure overall efficiency in the workplace.
  • In order to keep warehouse downtime to a minimum you are expected to keep detailed records and report any issues you come across concisely and correctly.
  • You will liaise with the Warehouse Coordinator to review safety stocks / potential capacity constraints. Conduct regular stock checks and investigate discrepancies.
  • You are expected to participate in any project or process improvement, supporting the Warehouse Team on identifying improvements and implementing any resultant changes.
  • Review monthly KPIs with the Warehouse Coordinator / Team Leader / SCM and support the created action plans.
  • You are expected to actively participate and give input to several team and individual projects, including, Staff Council and Health & Safety
  • To ensure a consistent approach you are expected to follow the latest operating procedures.
  • To ensure proper use of forklift truck, including daily maintenance checks and defect reporting.
  • Manage your time and attendance through WTS
  • Anything else commensurate to complete your role as a WH Intake MPO

Requirements:

  • A high regard for health and safety standards with an understanding of H&S regulations.
  • A good level of spoken & written English.
  • A high level of attention to detail.
  • Have a proven experience in a warehouse and logistical operation.
  • A good level of mathematics.
  • Ability to maximise stock allocations.
  • Able to communicate well with peers and colleagues
  • Levelheaded under pressure.
  • Hold a valid Forklift Truck licence.
  • IT literacy: proficiency in the basic functions of MS Office Word, Email, Excel, and SAP
