We are seeking a talented and highly skilled individual that can join us in the role of Warehouse Operative to contribute in in busy warehouse environment within the Community Equipment Service (CES).

Your duties will consist of carrying out quality checks and regular auditing of conformance to decontamination process protocols, including predefined and ad-hoc periodic bio-burden sampling and recording, for assuring the decontamination process effectiveness.
You will be performing minor functional and cosmetic reconditioning of used simple equipment that is assessed to be acceptable for reuse, bringing it up to the manufacturers’ original functional specification and acceptable visual appearance.
You will be reclaiming and setting aside certain salvageable parts from scrapped equipment, for re-use in reconditioning of future equipment, in accordance with predefined rules.
You will be checking the unique identification for equipment history traceability. Re-assigning and labelling equipment with new unique identification if necessary.
You will be booking accepted goods in to their allocated warehouses and shelf locations. Placing goods in their shelf locations in an orderly and safe manner.
You will ensure the segregation of contaminated and decontaminated workflows and storage areas, to prevent any cross-contamination.
You will operate at all times with safe working practices ensuring a safe, effective and efficient stores area, and compliance with health and safety policies and procedures.
You will work as part of a team, undertaking domestic duties to ensure that all areas are clean, tidy.
You will bring positive ‘can do’ attitude to the team.
This post requires person with strong physical abilities as manual handling of heavy equipment with accordance to H&S policies is everyday necessity.
You will need ability to travel independently. Applicants should have previous warehouse experience, ideally in similar role although there will be full training given for this post. You will be required to possess technical and manual skills to use various hand tools and ability to repair simple equipment.

The Community Equipment Service provides a vital service to residents, enabling them to maintain their independence at home. Through commercial contract partnerships with other local authorities we enable over 100,000 deliveries a year of essential pieces of health and social care related equipment. The successful applicant will need to demonstrate effective communication skills and ability to effectively manage a range of internal and external stakeholders related to clinical matters. This includes service users, professionals and commercial suppliers.
Post holder will have to demonstrate efficiency and high attention to details skills as well as will be required to work towards agreed KPI’s. Driving licence is essential for this role.
