Warehouse Operative (FT) Bury, North West England, England
Job description
- Loading and unloading of vehicles.
- Picking customer orders.
- Dealing with the public. (drivers, customers, suppliers)
- Understanding / experience of stock rotation.
- Putting incoming stock into the right location.
- Supplying internal departments with the goods they need.
- Daily stocktaking.
- Delivering customers' orders locally using Company vehicles (up to 3.5T) when required.
- Working to HACCP programme (critical control points), accurately recording checks and results on relevant documentation.
- Adhere to strict Quality and Food standards.
- Driving license & FLT license essential.
- CPC license an advantage (if not held, we will provide a CPC license to the right candidate)
- Good reading, writing & numeracy skills, as recording information accurately on internal and supply chain traceable paperwork is essential.
- Relevant experience essential (preferably in the food industry)
- Good attendance and timekeeping.
- Ability to adhere to work instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Flexible with a 'can do' attitude.
- Good communication skills.
- Be enthusiastic and conscientious and understand or be willing to learn the principles and application of Food Safety.
- Have a proactive approach to excellent warehouse practices.
- Hours of work – 40 per week.
- Days – 5 shifts per week. (Monday to Friday, Saturday overtime on a rota)
