Carousel Logistics is looking for a new Warehouse Operative to work in our Coventry Depot. The Warehouse Operative is part of the Network Operations team and a key role centered around the receipt and a re-distribution of freight across the UK. Freight is received from both within the UK and Europe and is sorted, organised, and loaded into network specific requirements. This role influences and effects the service Carousel provides to its key clients. The ideal warehouse operative will work to a high accuracy, at pace whilst maintaining a safe working environment.
Warehouse Operative - Duties / Responsibilities:
- ·Receiving, Moving & Sorting freight.
- Loading and Unloading delivery Vehicles ensuring correct documentation is in place
- Can marshal loads for despatch and load vehicles safely and effectively
- Transacting/Updating all activity in line with DANX Carousel procedures. This includes using digital devices, systems and business processes.
- Capturing of variation and escalating as required in line with company process
- Ability to follow and instruct others in standard operating procedures and work in a methodical, logical manner, ensuring compliance with contractual targets.
- Operate and use Mobile Plant, Mechanical lifting and handling equipment properly and safely
- Checking and maintaining the equipment (incl MHE, Pump Trucks & Conveyor) in the warehouse and compliance with Health and Safety and company regulations.
- Working to site safety, health, environmental, security and quality procedures and associated policies
- Ensure housekeeping is carried out on site.
- Embrace and aim to add value supporting the continuous improvement of the overall operation
- Work to site Safety, Health, Environmental and Security standards, requirements.
- Promote a team working ethic across all activities. Ability to work with others co-operatively and flexibly within a team to achieve a collective goal.

Warehouse Operative - Key Accountabilities:
- Offload & reloading of various type/sizes of vehicles, carried out in an effective, safe and professional manner.
- Proactively promote a culture of safe working practices and ensure all members of staff comply with H&S regulations.
- Scan and sort freight in line with company process and procedure
- Work at pace to achieve OTIF for our clients
Warehouse Operative - Skills & Qualifications:
Essential:
- Understand, write, communicate in written English (numbers and words)
- IT Literate; Used Excel, Word and Outlook before.
Preferable:
- · Fork Lift Truck Qualification
