Venari Group Ltd is the largest and fastest growing emergency vehicle manufacturer in the UK, specialising in the conversion of Ambulances and Fire Appliances. Employing over 170 people across our 124,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space in Goole and Brighouse, we are revolutionising our industry and making a real difference to our frontline key workers.
We are now continuing in our next phase of growth and are currently looking for the role of Warehouse Operative at our Brighouse site.
JOB SUMMARY
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Receive deliveries - check delivery notes against goods coming in to ensure correct parts are received.
- Booking parts in from PO and labelling them for allocation to correct contracts / builds.
- Checking for any discrepancies; checking deliveries for any faults or incorrect parts, if incorrect or faulty to inform Materials Manager and also Purchasing.
- Quality check of goods before storing
- Check goods against drawings / pictures to ensure goods are labelled correctly
- Ensure all stock is stored in the correct manner
- Deal with any returns or errors in orders
- Organise and issue all goods from Stores
- Liaising with the relevant Teams to ensure the overall tidiness and cleanliness of stores areas
- Completing periodic stock takes, maintaining stock levels and making relevant stock adjustments
- Updating System Data (part numbers, location, quantity)
- WO management
- Wherever possible, ensure stores are kept secure in the working day and restrict access to authorised personnel only. Ensure stores are locked and secure at the end of the working day
- Adherence to Health, Safety and Environmental rules and regulations
- Responsible for good housekeeping, cleanliness and high standards in own area
- Other duties as required
Essential requirements:
- 2 years FLT experience
- Computer literate
- Be able to work under pressure
- Good communication skills (face to face and phone)
- Physically fit
- Flexibility, attention to detail and the ability to work independently
- Must take a pride in their work and ensure work is completed to a high standard
Desirable requirements:
- Knowledge of an ERP System, and other warehouse management software would be an advantage
The hours for this role are 8.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Thursday / 8.00 am to 2.15pm on Friday. This is based on 41.5 hours per week.
