Position Title : Warehouse Operative
A new opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Operative, working at our brand new Bradford National
Distribution Centre (NDC). The role encompasses all the day-to-day functions associated with the
Logistics Team of the NDC, ensuring the prompt and efficient receipt, picking and dispatch of goods.
The ideal candidate will have great attention to detail, enjoy working as part of an effective team, they
will be reliable and trustworthy and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in a similar role as a Production Operative / Warehouse Operative is desirable, but not
essential as full training is provided.

Primary Objectives
- To receive, unpack and check in product in the Goods in function.
- To assist in the efficient storage of received goods.
- To pack orders for customers and branches as required in the Dispatch function.
- To continually evaluate the current situation with a view to making process improvements.
- Ensure punctual timekeeping and attendance.
- Conduct yourself in a responsible manner and help promote a good working environment and
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area.
- Show courtesy towards colleagues, customers and suppliers.
- To be available for attendance to any training course deemed appropriate for the individuals
- To assist in the loading and unloading of goods using the correct handling equipment provided.
- To assist in administration functions for all departments as necessary.
- To maintain supplies of consumable materials related to packing of goods.
- To ensure all equipment is maintained in a safe, clean and tidy manner.
- To ensure that all administrative tasks are completed with the minimum of delay as appropriate.
- To liaise with carriers to ensure the optimum service levels to our customers and branches.
- To liaise with our Van Drivers in respect of branch deliveries where appropriate.
- To work towards “zero tolerance” of errors by constantly checking for mistakes
