Full Time Warehouse Operative
Scunthorpe
Monday to Friday

We have a great opportunity for a Full Time Warehouse Operative to join the team at our The Bed Shop Group to provide exceptional service to our customers in store. You will play a vital part in helping serve customers and keeping the warehouse running smoothly - experience with our products is not necessary, if you bring great customer service and team working skills to the table, we will give you everything you need to succeed.
Conveniently located at Flixborough Industrial Estate, Scunthorpe. The Bed Shop Group has been providing the local area with the widest range of beds and furniture for almost 50 years so it’s no wonder we have built up a strong customer base and a reputation for being the areas first choice. The warehouse opening hours are Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5pm.

As a Warehouse Operative with The Bed Shop Group, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Receiving, storing and loading of customer specific orders and stock, into the delivery units ready for delivery.
- Ensuring the right stock is picked from the correct location and goes to the right bay, minimising errors.
- Doing stock counts, safety checks, processing returned goods as required.
- Ensuring all handling, Health and Safety procedures and operating standards are maintained in line with company policies.
- Being part of a great customer service delivery operation.
- Assisting with stock maintenance in the branch.

Who we are looking for to join our team:
- Previous manual handling experience and warehouse experience or product knowledge would be advantageous but not essential, as full training will be given to the right candidate.
- Previous experience of Warehouse Management Systems would be beneficial.
- Ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy customer products - mattresses, bed frames and bedroom furniture as a two-person team.
- Understands the importance of their role in home delivery and its contribution to the wider customer experience.
- Understands the importance of an effective warehousing operation to the wider customer experience
- Self-Motivated, disciplined & Positively contributes to the team, creating a ‘Great place to work’
- Desire to deliver on our promises to our customers
- Approachable, possessing an open and friendly personality - happy to help both customers and colleagues
- Enjoys working and supporting a team, but can always be relied upon to work as an individual
- Willing to attend training as required
- Keen to learn, develop skills, and progress within our company
