WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE

Reporting to: Warehouse Management Team

Location: Sigma Sports Warehouse - Grantham, Lincolnshire.

Are you a team player looking to work in a busy warehouse environment? If yes, then we may have the perfect opportunity for you. We require Warehouse Operatives to work in our new warehouse in Grantham, Lincolnshire. The Warehouse Operative role is responsible for ensuring that all stock received into the business is booked in, put away, picked and packed for our customers.

What Can You Expect?

As a member of our Warehouse Operative team, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, and picking and packaging all cycling and triathlon products that we stock. You will be required to work Monday to Friday during regular business hours and every other Saturday.

What Are We Looking For?

An excellent team player with a flexible attitude, you should be enthusiastic and self-motivated with good accuracy and basic numeracy. Responsible and able to work on your own, some experience within a warehouse environment would be advantageous but is not necessary. You must be able to work to deadlines and under pressure, have a keen eye for detail when picking, and have experience in order picking either from a manifest or by using a scanner. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand and walk for your entire shift. Understand and differentiate between shipping methods and sort packages accordingly. Knowledge of cycling and triathlon products would be advantageous but not vital.

Hours:

This is a full-time position. 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday to Friday, working every other Saturday with either Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday as a day off. Opportunity for paid overtime during peak seasons.

Training:

Training will be provided on-site.

Holiday:

22 days base holiday in addition to bank holidays, rising to 25 days after 5 years’ service and to 27 days after 10 years’ service.
