LET’S CUT STRAIGHT TO IT

We’re currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to be based at our Finham site in Coventry on a permanent basis.

As a Warehouse Operative you’ll provide a critical service to STW Wholesale. Typical tasks involve end to end Stock Management, liaising with Team leaders, Distribution, Water Production & Waster Water Team Managers, Engineers and other key stakeholders. You’ll be supporting your manager on all Health, Safety and Environmental standards and you’ll be working face to face with internal and external stores customers offering excellent customer service, seeking to be the preferred supplier of choice.

The primary role will be county based but you may be expected to cover and work in other regions such as Warwickshire, Gloucestershire and Central in line with business needs.

Due to the nature of the role we are looking for someone with experience in a manual and physical role who also has good I.T skills in order to fulfil the administrative aspects of the role.

Does this sound like you? Then read on...

LET’S TELL YOU MORE

Your key accountabilities in helping us on our journey will be:

Receipting, issuing and returning of stock via bar-coding / SAP computer systems including electronic internal transfers of materials where required to meet materials requirement needs. You’ll make sure all materials movements are conducted via the bar-coding / SAP system to support financial code & legal audit compliance

Identifying materials replenishment needs via scheduled SAP generated runs and physical observation as well as monitoring purchase requisitions to assess successful progression to purchase orders with agreed suppliers. Daily/adhoc tasks will need to be carried out as and when required to make sure the Warehouse operation runs smoothly; including but not limited to operation of heavy plant lifting equipment and manual lifting equipment, housekeeping duties including using floor cleaners, data entry for stock control, inspections on vehicles, mobile plant, office workplace, etc.

You’ll frequently liaise with a number of stakeholders both internal and external so we would be looking for someone who is a confident communicator.

Still you? Wonderful.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

It would be great if you had previous Warehouse experience and even better if you have a Fork-lift Truck licence (Reach & Counterbalance) but this isn’t essential as training can be provided.

Of course, it’s important that we attract the right skill sets, and those with the right experience but we value character, positivity and a caring attitude in equal weight.

We want people who show up and roll their sleeves up. Restless spirits who are ready to be part of something bigger, who care, who really care... because when you really care, you’ll go above and beyond. When you really care you don’t just talk about it, you do more.

We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality as we know diverse minds, experiences and backgrounds help us to learn and better serve our communities. We employ thousands of people from across our community who really care about what they do. Because that is how we do what we do.

And when it comes to inclusion, we’re making sure we keep up the progress with our wonderful working groups – LGBTQ+, Women in Operations & STEM, Disability and Ethnicity; who help us do just that.

We do more, because we care.

HOW WE’LL REWARD AND CARE FOR YOU IN RETURN

It’s not just a job you’ll get here, you’ll get a career too. We have a range of benefits that reward and recognise great work and award-winning training to ensure you reach your potential.
