**Fixed Term Contract during the busy Spring & Summer period (March to October).**
No experience required as training is provided!
Our client is an independent family-run company that works with over 18,000 farmers across the UK. They supply seeds for everything from green manures, cover crops and herbal leys to dual purpose long term leys and silage mixtures.
They are now looking for a Warehouse Operative who will be on the frontline of their mixing and processing operation. You will be responsible for ensuring that seed orders are mixed and packed for delivery in a timely manner. On offer is a competitive salary and additional benefits.
What we need from you as a Warehouse Operative:
- Ability to lift up to 30kg, unaided
- Ability to work longer shifts in busy periods
- Ideally hold a valid driving license
- Fluency in English
- Good mental arithmetic skills
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Daily processing of seed mixtures through the mixing plant
- Picking orders for mixing as they are assigned by the Production Manager
- Packing, weighing, sealing and labelling bags accurately
- Stacking pallets for collection by courier or delivered by van
- Wrapping of pallets and accurate labelling before dispatch
- Keeping warehouse tidy and free from rubbish
- Aiding with packing and delivery of logs (September/October)
Salary/Package: £10.50 per hour (age 18+). £8.50 per hour (under age 18).
Hours:
Monday to Friday 8.00am – 5.30pm - 6th March - 2nd June (peak).
Monday to Friday – 9.00am – 4.30pm - 5th June - 28th July (off-peak).
Monday to Friday 8.00am – 5.30pm - 31st July - 29th September (peak).
Half hour lunch for all working hours.
Holidays:
28 days per year plus Bank Holidays, pro rata for people who work part of the year.
