Job description
This role covers two sites, one being at our main warehouse where you will learn all aspects of warehousing and the other site will comprise of delivering parts for our main customer.
The core objective is to maintain the key functions along with the efficient and timely ordering and replenishment of components to ensure that the customers production line is not jeopardised. Using hand held electronic scanners to order and deliver goods on site at our customer.
An extensive but not exhaustive list of Key Tasks:
- Actioning receipts as delegated by the Goods In Supervisor and ensuring that all paperwork is passed to the warehouse office for input to the Expert5.0 system.
- Linking pallet cards with stock and decanting where necessary before scanning into location.
- Picking and packing parts for BMW and non-BMW Oxford customers into the appropriate container with the required labels specific to that customer.
- Attaching the necessary pallet labels and documentation for non-BMW Oxford customers according to their requirements.
- Ensuring that all waste materials are removed from the warehouse before the end of shift and that all pallets/containers stored outside are neatly stacked.
- Assisting the Goods In Supervisor/Warehouse Manager as required.
- Efficient and timely ordering and delivery of components to the various delivery points on site.
- Frequent collection of empty boxes.
- Maintaining and updating the IT database, which includes tour setup, part setup, part movements, label printing.
- Maintain and work to Customer Specific Requirements for reporting Key Performance Indicators’'.
- To serve as a focal point to communicate, resolve interface and integration issues with other teams and customers.
- The completion of MHE Pre-operational check sheets.
- Liaising with internal & external customers.
- Maintaining all expected levels of housekeeping in line with our policy.
- To have familiarisation with the company intranet and where to access the Corporate & Customer Unit Management Systems.
- To carry out any other reasonable requests by the Team Leader, Manager or other colleagues within the teams or customer unit.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £24,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
