Job description
Based in Horwich near Bolton, Supply Chain Management specialists Maxim Industries are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and hardworking Warehouse Operative on a full time basis.
Working as part of the warehouse team, the successful candidate will have an excellent work ethic with the ability to work as part of a team or on their own initiative. You will be expected to adhere to the high standards that are prevalent throughout our business, therefore a sharp intellect is essential as are great levels of time keeping.
Prior experience of warehouse work and operating fork lift trucks would be advantageous, but not absolutely essential as full training will be provided to the successful candidate.
The main tasks and duties involve:
Undertaking regular stock counts to ensure stock accuracy
Re-location of stock to maximise warehouse capacity
Utilisation of stock control software
Unloading and loading of delivery vehicles
Picking and packing of customer orders
The Checking in of inbound freight and location of goods into the warehouse
General upkeep of warehouse
Essential Experience/ Qualities
General computer skills and familiarity with email and internet use
Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
Attention to detail
Good communication skills both verbal and written
A team player-capable of working alone or with other team staff
Able to use own initiative
Fit and able, the position involves lifting so a good level of general health is essential
The role is a full time role with an immediate start available for the right candidate.

Salary: From £20,525.00 per year
