Introduction
Lineage Logistics are the world's largest provider of temperature-controlled logistics.
We are currently recruiting a General Warehouse Operative to support our customer demand.
Available shift:
- Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00
The role
In this role you will:
- Get a lot of exercise being on your feet all day and walking around our warehouse; the job is quite physical, and you will need to lift items such as boxes of food and bottles of drinks
- You will do this in either a cold environment - the cold storage is approximately minus 20 Celsius - just like working in the freezer; but we provide full PPE including coats, hats, and boots
- Use pallet truck equipment to move the pallet to the correct door
- Move pallets from the inbound dock door to locations inside the warehouse to be put away
- Find products requested in work orders
- Change over pallets, visually review items for damages or flaws, document, and report damages to a supervisor
- Confirm all pallets being hauled into the warehouse or dock doors are wrapped to the top
Who we're looking for:
- An external Counterbalance certificate would be an advantage
- Accuracy is important so someone who likes to get things right first time
- Things are heavy so you will need to lift up to 18kg (that's about 10 bags of sugar)
- You to be able to communicate clearly with other team members in English
- Due to cold storage conditions, you must be aged 18 or over
