WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE
The Appliance depot is a leading retailer in white goods specialising in graded appliances. Based in South Wigston Leicester we are seeking a person to supervise a small team of warehouse staff. We opened the business 15 years ago and continue to grow in many new areas and deliver stock nationwide. We have over 5000 items in stock at any one time and operate from 2 warehouses / 1 retail unit. .
As a 'Warehouse Operative' you main duties will be:

• Manage accurate handling of stock in and out of the business.
• Maintain an organised and clean warehouse and retail space.
• Represent yourself, department and the company in a professional manner both internally and externally.
• Keep directors informed regularly of all issues regarding the business.
• Complete all administration speedily and efficiently.
• Undertake deliveries/ packing stock for delivery/ loading vans
• Security of premises including opening and locking up at appropriate times.
• Saturday work is essential every other week.
• This is a hands-on position in a small team and at times can be quite physical

The ideal applicant will hold the following skills and experiences:

• Experience within the white goods industry preferred / retail experience would be a bonus
• History of working under pressure and being energetic.
• Driving / Stock / Warehousing experience
• Good levels of IT, literacy and numeracy
• Good customer service skills/ physically strong and able
• In return you will receive:
• A starting salary of £10 per hour
• 21 days annual holiday plus 8 statutory days,

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £10.00-£11.00 per hour
