Warehouse Operative Ship It Appliances Ltd.
Ship It Appliances is the UK’s premier online kitchen appliance retailer stocking brands including CDA, Fridgemaster, Amica and Franke, as well as an own-brand range called SIA. Ship It Appliances is based in Mansfield and is part of the For Everyone Group, based in Salford, Manchester.
We're looking for an individual to help us keep our facility stocked with supplies and products. The successful candidates will often be required to move heavy boxes and items, so we are looking for individuals with a lot of energy, who can work well with others. The ideal candidate for this position is someone with a strong work ethic and a willingness to get his or her hands dirty. He or she will be responsible for retrieving products from inventory shelves, moving products around the warehouse based on orders, as well as carefully stacking cargo.
Role Responsibilities
Picking & Packing
- Using handheld scanners and pallet trucks to collect various items from around the warehouse
- Printing off courier labels to attach to the goods
- Stacking items onto pallets to certain manageable heights
- Shrink wrapping items onto pallets
- Strapping items onto pallets
Loading / Unloading Freight
- Manually hand-balling goods into large vehicles / containers
- Unloading items from vehicles / containers
- Items can be in excess of 25kg so operative must not be afraid of hard work!
Product Boxing / Preparation
- Constructing boxes from flat-packed cardboard
- Gluing cardboard corners onto glass panels
- Un-boxing of goods
General Warehouse Upkeep
- Sweeping up aisles
- Collecting up empty boxes / pallets from bays
- Putting stock items away that are not required
- Removing shrink wrap from certain pallets
The ideal candidates will be trained in the below, however, you will receive training
- Forklift truck licence (Clamp/Bendi)
- Manual Handling
