Warehouse Operative
36 hours per week
AVEC is a leading supplier and distributor of professional hair & beauty products to wholesale customers across the UK, Ireland and Western Europe. Based near Glasgow Airport, the Company operates from a warehouse of over 22,000 sq.ft.
The successful candidate will have a proven background within a warehouse role and live within a commutable distance of Glasgow Airport. The role will help contribute to the future profitable growth of the Company.
Warehouse Operative Position Overview
· Accurate receipt, storage, picking and packing of stock; as well as arranging shipment of orders to customers; all using relevant systems and hand-held terminal
· Maintaining inventory stock accuracy, including performing cycle counts and inventory auditing
· Operating equipment in the warehouse and following area procedures in a safe and efficient manner
· Previous experience of working in a similar role or environment preferred, but training will be provided in the event that this is not the case
· Ability to work quickly, accurately and efficiently – often un-supervised
· Enthusiastic and positive “can-do” attitude
· A team-player who will willingly assist others if required
Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 4:30pm (45 mins for lunch); Friday 8:30am to 4.00pm (30 mins for lunch)
Hourly Rate of Pay: £10.90 per hour
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: £10.90 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Paisley, PA3 2AY: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Warehouse experience: 1 year (preferred)
